Ingredients
- 8 c. strawberries
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 6 c. sugar
Method
- Clean and core strawberries.
- Put in cold water.
- Drain, then put the berries, sugar and lemon juice in a 6-quart pot. Stir just to dissolve the sugar. When starts to boil, turn to medium or low heat so it won't boil over. Cook for 1 hour until candy thermometer reads 224°.
- Put into jars.
