Ingredients

  • 1 pound medium sized deveined shrimp
  • 1 pound bowtie pasta
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2 tbs. minced garlic (or 4 cloves chopped)
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1 tsp. ground mustard
  • 2 tbs. white wine
  • 2 tbs. virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbs. kosher salt
  • cracked pepper to taste

Method

  • Boil pasta while cleaning shrimp. Clean shrimp and put aside to be added last to mixture.
  • In a wok pan or large steel frying pan, warm olive oil. As soon as oil is warm, add onion and garlic. Cook until onion is clear. Add red bell pepper and cook several minutes, then add shrimp. Stirring constantly, add salt, mustard, wine and cracked pepper. When shrimp is fully cooked (pink), prepare a bowl with bowtie pasta on bottom and shrimp mixture arranged on top. Garnish with a few sprigs of parsley or a bit of extra pepper. Serve hot.
