Ingredients

  • 5 lb. flour
  • 3 c. warm water
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 c. syrup
  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine or butter
  • raisins (optional)
  • walnuts (optional)

Method

  • Mix yeast and water first.
  • Add other ingredients (sugar, oil and salt).
  • Then take 5 pounds flour; mix until dough comes off your hands.
  • Set dough in warm place to rise (about 1/2 hour). Put wet towel over top of it.
  • Let rise 3x double volume.
