- 3 lb. headless shrimp, cleaned (in shell)
- 1 stick melted butter
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 3/4 tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 3/4 tsp. chopped garlic
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. powdered Chinese pepper
- 1 fifth cheap red wine
Method
- Put all of the ingredients into a large black pot with cover. Bring to a boil over a hot heat.
- Cover and turn off heat.
- Test the shrimp every five minutes to see if they are cooked.
- Serve in bowl with lots of French bread to sop up liquid.
- Serves 6.
