Ingredients
- 3 c. squash, cooked and mashed
- 1/2 stick butter/margarine
- chopped onion
- 8 oz. sour cream
- 1 can cream of chicken soup (do not add any water)
- 1 can cream of celery soup (do not add any water)
Method
- Cook squash in salted water.
- While hot, add butter or margarine and let melt.
- Add chopped onion to squash and butter mixture.
- When cool, add the following ingredients and mix thoroughly:
- sour cream, chicken soup and celery soup.
- Line bottom of oblong dish with buttered corn bread crumbs (plenty).
- Pour squash mixture over corn bread crumbs and top with more buttered cornbread crumbs.
- Bake at 400° for 30 minutes.
- Watch carefully so it doesn't get too brown.
