Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 12 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 5 green chilies, washed,ends trimmed and finely chopped
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 12 cup finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • 14 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 lime, juice of
  • salt
  • 1 butterfish, washed,sliced and marinated in
  • 12 tablespoon white vinegar, and
  • 12 teaspoon salt

Method

  • Heat oil in a skillet on medium flame.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and fry until lightly browned.
  • Mix in the green chillies and onions.
  • Saute until the onions are browned and aromatic.
  • Now add the coconut, corriander leaves, salt, turmeric powder and lemon juice.
  • Cook on low flame{simmer} for 12 minutes.
  • Now, fold in the fish slices.
  • Mix carefully and cook, stirring occasionally, until the fish is tender when touched with a fork and ready to eat.
  • Serve hot with rotis or white bread.
