Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 1/3 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 c. light corn syrup
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. Cheerios or honey nut Cheerios
  • 2 c. each Rice Chex and Wheat Chex or 4 c. Crispix
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. pecan halves

Method

  • Combine the first 5 ingredients in a heavy skillet. Stir constantly over medium heat until boiling.
  • Boil 3 minutes.
  • Can do in microwave.
  • In a buttered large bowl, toss the cereal, raisins and nuts.
  • Pour hot syrup over cereal mixture.
  • Stir to coat.
  • Spread on 2 buttered baking sheets.
  • When firm, break into pieces.
