Ingredients
- 6 slices bread (slightly stale or toasted)
- 2 c. cooked chicken, chopped
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 c. celery, chopped
- 1/2 c. onion, chopped
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 can soup (cream of mushroom, cream of chicken or cream of celery)
Method
- Crumble 3 slices of bread and place in bottom of casserole. Chop chicken and place over crumbs.
- Combine mayonnaise, eggs, milk, chopped peppers, celery, onion and salt.
- Pour over chicken. Spoon soup over all.
- Crumble 3 remaining slices of bread and put on top.
- Chill one hour or overnight.
- Bake 50 minutes at 325°.
