Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. powdered cloves
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg or allspice
  • 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 3 c. chopped apples

Method

  • Preheat oven to 325°.
  • In large bowl, cream together oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
  • In separate bowl, have dry ingredients sifted together.
  • Add dry ingredients slowly to creamed mixture, blending constantly.
  • Stir batter until smooth, then add apples and nuts.
  • Continue mixing until apples and nuts are completely blended into batter.
  • Pour batter into Bundt cake pan and bake for 50 minutes.
  • Cool slightly before icing.
