Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 (16 oz.) can pork and beans in tomato sauce
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
  • 1/2 c. water

Method

  • In a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, cook beef, onion, garlic and chili powder until beef is browned and onion is tender, stirring to separate meat.
  • Spoon off fat.
  • Stir in beans, soup, chilies and water.
  • Heat to boiling.
  • Reduce heat to low.
  • Simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Makes 4 servings.
