Ingredients

  • 3 or 4 lb. spareribs
  • onions (optional)
  • 2 tsp. vinegar
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 3/4 c. catsup
  • 3/4 c. water

Method

  • Select meaty spareribs.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Place in roaster and cover with onions.
  • Combine remaining ingredients and pour over meat.
  • Cover and bake in moderate (350°) oven for about 1 1/2 hours.
  • Baste occasionally, turning ribs once or twice.
  • Remove cover the last 15 minutes to brown ribs.
  • Serves 6.
