Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. oregano leaves
  • 3/4 tsp. basil leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. marjoram leaves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste

Method

  • Cook and stir hamburger, onion and garlic in large skillet until hamburger is light brown; drain.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
  • Cover; simmer, stirring occasionally for 1 hour.
