Ingredients

  • 2 cans cut green beans
  • 1 onion, chopped fine
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can water chestnuts, sliced
  • 1 can French fried onions
  • salt, pepper and garlic salt to taste

Method

  • Cook beans and onion in fresh water for 30 minutes.
  • Dilute soup as directed and combine with other ingredients except the French fried onions.
  • Add soup mixture to drained beans; place in casserole and bake in oven at 350° for 30 minutes.
  • Cover with French fried onions and brown.
  • This casserole is great with any kind of meat dish.
  • Serves 6.
