Ingredients
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. Crisco oil
- 3 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/5 tsp. pepper
Method
- Saut onion in Crisco oil in heavy 10-inch cast-iron skillet until transparent. Add potatoes.
- Fry potatoes until they are tender and golden, turning as necessary.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Makes 4 servings.
