Ingredients
- 1 medium can crushed pineapple
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 large box vanilla instant pudding
- 1 large container Cool Whip
- coconut and nuts
Method
- Prepare cake mix following directions on box and bake. Mix pineapple and sugar in saucepan. Boil 5 minutes. Let cake cool, then spread pineapple over cake. Prepare pudding according to box. When set, pour over pineapple. Spread Cool Whip over pudding. Sprinkle nuts and coconut on top; refrigerate overnight. To add color, you can also garnish with maraschino cherries. For Christmas, use green and red.
