Ingredients

  • 6 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 2 c. warm buttermilk
  • 2 tsp. salt

Method

  • Mix yeast in
  • warm
  • water
  • and set aside.
  • Mix all dry ingredients in large
  • bowl.
  • Make
  • well and
  • pour
  • in oil, buttermilk and
  • yeast mixture.
  • Beat by hand.
  • Mixture will be sticky.
  • Grease lightly and set in refrigerator for at least 3 to 4 hours.
  • Bake as needed.
  • Will keep for 3 to 4 days.
  • Make into balls or rolls and grease top.
  • Turn over in pan and bake at 400° for 35 minutes.
