Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 sticks butter
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 Tbsp. cinnamon, 1/2 c. sugar and 1/2 c. nuts, mixed

Method

  • Cream the butter and sugar together. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well after each egg. Cream well. Add the flour, one cup at a time. Beat well after each cup. Fold in the sour cream.
  • Grease and flour a tube pan.
  • Pour half of the batter in pan. Sprinkle chopped walnuts and sugar mixture over batter.
  • Pour remaining batter in pan. Top with rest of nut mixture.
  • Bake in a 325° oven for 1 1/2 hours.
