Ingredients

  • 1 c. margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 2 c. cake flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar

Method

  • Fold margarine, sugar and eggs and cream until fluffy, then fold in sour cream and vanilla.
  • Sift together cake flour, baking powder and salt.
  • For topping, combine chopped nuts, brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Grease and flour tube pan.
  • Place 1/2 batter; sprinkle half of topping.
  • Add remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the topping.
  • Bake at 300° for 1 hour.
