Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 3/4 c. salad oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs

Method

  • Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan.
  • Combine brown sugar, cinnamon and 1/2 cup of pecans in a small bowl.
  • Set aside. Combine cake mix, salad oil, sugar, vanilla, eggs and sour cream. Beat two minutes at medium speed.
  • Stir in 1/2 cup pecans.
  • Pour half of batter into prepared pan.
  • Sprinkle with half of brown sugar mixture.
  • Pour remaining batter in pan and sprinkle with remaining brown sugar mixture.
  • Bake at 325° for 50 to 60 minutes.
