Ingredients
- 3 c. sifted flour
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. (2 sticks) butter
- 1/2 pt. (1 c.) sour cream
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 6 eggs, separated
Method
- Cream butter and sugar thoroughly.
- Add egg yolks one at a time.
- Add soda to flour.
- Alternately, add flour and sour cream to creamed mixture.
- Beat egg whites stiff and fold into mixture. Don't add any flavoring.
- Bake in large tube pan, which has been heavily greased and lined on bottom with brown paper, also greased.
- Then flour pan carefully.
- Bake at 275° for 2 hours. Turn out immediately.
