Ingredients
- 2 (16 oz.) whole or wheat frozen bread dough, thawed
- 1 egg white, lightly beaten
- 1 tsp. water
- coarse salt (if you wish)
Method
- Thaw bread in refrigerator overnight.
- Roll dough into 24 (1 1/2-inch) balls (12 balls from each loaf of bread).
- Roll each ball into roll (14-inches long).
- Place pretzels 1 inch apart on a well-greased cookie sheet.
- Let stand 20 minutes.
- Combine egg white and water.
- Brush on pretzels.
- Try making the letters of the alphabet or your name with pretzel dough.
- Sprinkle with salt if you desire.
- Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
- Makes 24 pretzels.
