Ingredients
- 2/3 c. margarine
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
- powdered sugar
Method
- Cream margarine and shortening with brown sugar.
- Sift flour and salt together.
- Add gradually to creamed mixture.
- Add vanilla and mix well.
- Add chopped nuts; blend and shape into 1-inch balls.
- Bake at 325° for 25 minutes.
- Cool slightly and roll in sugar.
- When completely cool, roll again in sugar.
