Ingredients

  • 2 lb. round steak
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 5 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup

Method

  • Cut meat into serving sizes.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Dip meat into 1/4 cup milk, then coat with flour, salt and pepper mixture.
  • Brown meat on both sides in oil.
  • Remove to shallow baking dish.
  • Blend 2 tablespoons flour into oil in skillet.
  • Stir in milk and soup.
  • Pour this mixture over meat in baking dish.
  • Bake, uncovered, 1 1/2 hours in 350° oven.
