Ingredients

  • 6 apples, cored
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Optional: frozen whipped topping, thawed

Method

  • Peel a strip around the top of each apple to help prevent cracking. Arrange apples in a slow cooker. In a large bowl, combine remaining ingredients except whipped topping; mix to blend. Spoon over apples. Cover and cook on low setting for 3 to 4 hours or until apples are tender. Cool slightly and serve warm with whipped topping, if desired.
