Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 small apples, pared, cored and cubed
- 2 Tbsp. minced onions
- 2 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
- dash of nutmeg
- 6 oz. peeled and cooked yams, cooled and cubed
Method
- In 10-inch skillet, heat margarine over medium heat, add apples and onions and saute, stirring occasionally, until apples are soft, 4 to 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle with sugar, lemon juice and seasonings.
- Cook, stirring constantly until sugar is melted.
- Add yam cubes and cook until yams are heated through.
