Ingredients

  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 2 c. whipping cream
  • fresh fruit

Method

  • Whip egg whites until they form peaks.
  • Gradually add sugar, vanilla and vinegar.
  • Continue beating until very stiff.
  • Spread waxed paper or brown paper (cut into a circle, slightly larger than desired size of dessert) on a cookie sheet.
  • Put mixture onto paper and shape with slight hollow in center.
  • Bake mixture one hour at 250°.
  • Turn off oven and leave for several hours to dry. Top with fresh fruit and whipped cream.
