Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground round
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
- 2 c. water
- 1 can tomatoes, chopped
- 1/4 c. Heinz 57 sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- dash of pepper
- 1 c. macaroni, cooked
Method
- Brown beef and onion in shortening; drain excess fat.
- Stir in water and next 5 ingredients.
- Add macaroni and mix well.
- Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 15 to 20 minutes or until macaroni is tender.
- Stir occasionally.
- Makes 5 1/2 cups.
