Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. quick oats
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 1/3 c. flour
  • 2 c. light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • Brown Sugar Topping

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • In a large bowl, pour boiling water over oats and butter; let stand 20 minutes.
  • Add remaining ingredients.
  • Mix well.
  • Pour into lightly greased and floured 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Spread with Brown Sugar Topping.
  • Return to oven for 5 minutes.
