Ingredients
- 1 1/4 c. boiling water
- 1 c. quick oats
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 1/3 c. flour
- 2 c. light brown sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Brown Sugar Topping
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- In a large bowl, pour boiling water over oats and butter; let stand 20 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Mix well.
- Pour into lightly greased and floured 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
- Spread with Brown Sugar Topping.
- Return to oven for 5 minutes.
