Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Lightly Salted Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Canola Oil
  • 4 whole Large Vidalia White Onions, Sliced Thinly
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Or Sea Salt
  • 1-1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 12 ounces, fluid Coca-Cola (soft Drink)

Method

  • In a 10-inch or 12-inch skillet, add butter and oil and heat on medium high heat. Once melted and sliced onions, stir and add salt, pepper and cumin. Cook for 20 minutes stirring during cooking time. The onions should have a nice brown color at that point. Then add the cola (it will de-glaze the skillet and add a wonderful flavor). Continue to cook an additional 10 minutes.
