Ingredients
- 14 cup baking cocoa
- 12 cup vegetable oil (or 1/4 cup oil plus 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce)
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 34 cup all-purpose flour
- 18 teaspoon salt
- 12 cup chopped walnuts
- 12 cup milk chocolate chips or 12 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or 12 cup dark chocolate chips
Method
- In a small bowl, combine cocoa, applesauce and oil until smooth.
- In another bowl, beat eggs.
- Add the sugar, vanilla and cocoa mixture.
- Stir in flour and salt just until moistened.
- Fold in walnuts.
- Pour into a greased 8-in.
- square baking pan; sprinkle with chocolate chips.
- Bake at 325 for 25-30 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack.
- Yield: 16 brownies.
