Ingredients

  • 1 T cocoa powder
  • 2 T chile powder
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 16 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 1/2 lbs shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • crushed peanuts for garnish
  • cooked rice, for serving

Method

  • in a bowl, combine cocoa and chilie powders. Stir in enough water to form a paste. Stir in the peanut butter and tomato sauce. Add the chopped bell pepper and season with salt and pepper
  • In a pot over med heat, bring the mixture to a simmer. continue simmering for 20 min. stir in the shrimp and cook 5 min. Garnish with peanuts and serve over rice
