- 1 lb. shrimp
- 1/2 c. chopped green bell pepper
- 1/2 c. celery
- 1/2 c. onion
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 can water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 3/4 tsp. chili powder
Method
- Fry bell pepper, celery and onion in butter.
- Add tomato sauce, water, garlic salt, pepper and chili powder.
- Add bay leaf to sauce.
- Cook slowly 40 to 45 minutes on low heat.
- Last 20 to 25 minutes, drop in shrimp.
- Serve with rice.
