- 2 1/2 c. finely chopped onions
- 1 3/4 c. finely chopped celery
- 1 1/2 c. finely chopped green peppers
- 2 tsp. minced garlic
- 3 c. chopped peeled tomatoes
- 1 1/2 c. canned tomato sauce
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. white pepper
- 1 tsp. ground red pepper
- 3/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp. Tabasco
- 1 Tbsp. thyme
- 1 1/2 tsp. basil
- 2 tsp. sugar
Method
- Rinse and peel shrimp; refrigerate.
- Use shells for stock.
