Ingredients

  • 2 lb. shrimp
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 large green pepper
  • 1/2 c. parsley
  • 1/2 c. cooking wine
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp. Accent
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ground pepper
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 can red peppers
  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce

Method

  • Clean and wash shrimp; fry in hot oil.
  • When they turn pink, add minced onion, pounded garlic and ground pepper; allow to cook slightly.
  • Add chopped parsley, ground red pepper with its liquid, tomato sauce, ketchup, bay leaf, wine, salt, Accent, ground pepper, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce.
  • Allow to cook for 25 to 30 minutes on medium heat.
  • Serves six.
