Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 3 to 4 small potatoes
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 can kidney beans or chili beans
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • salt
  • pepper
  • green peppers (optional)

Method

  • In a 13 x 9 1/2 x 2-inch pan, put a layer of ground beef (not browned), then a layer of thinly sliced potatoes, followed by a layer of thinly sliced onions.
  • Add salt and pepper.
  • Top with a can of kidney beans.
  • Add another layer of ground beef.
  • Top with a can of tomato soup (straight from the can, not weakened) and spread out on ground beef.
  • Cover with foil and bake at 350° for 4 hours.
