Ingredients
- 2 egg whites
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/3 c. cold water
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- In a double boiler, combine all of the ingredients except vanilla.
- Stir well; beat at high speed over boiling water (keeping water from touching bottom of pan), until frosting forms soft peaks.
- Remove from boiler; continue to beat on low speed until cool and frosting forms stiff peaks, 3 to 4 minutes.
