Ingredients
- 1 head lettuce
- 1/2 to 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 whole green pepper
- 3/4 c. dried red onion
- 1 pkg. frozen peas, cooked 1 minute, drained and cooled
- 1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- shredded cheese
- 1/2 lb. bacon, cooked, cooled and crumbled
Method
- Shred lettuce in a 9 x 13-inch pan (or glass bowl).
- Add the celery, green pepper, red onion and peas in layers.
- Cover with mayonnaise, sealing edges.
- Sprinkle sugar over top.
- Then add shredded cheese and bacon.
- Cover and refrigerate 8 hours.
