Ingredients

  • 4 large onions
  • 1/2 c. butter (1/4 and 1/4 divided)
  • 1 1/2 c. butter flavored crackers
  • 8 oz. Cheddar cheese
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. milk
  • salt

Method

  • Brown onions after slicing in 1/4 cup butter.
  • In a 9 x 13-inch casserole, press crackers to make crust.
  • Place onions on top; sprinkle cheese on top.
  • Pour milk and eggs over top.
  • Also the other 1/4 cup butter.
  • Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350°.
