- 1 lb. smoked sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 c. uncooked rice
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 ribs celery, chopped
- 1 large green pepper, chopped
- 1 (4 1/2 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of celery soup
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
Method
- Combine all of the ingredients in a Dutch oven and mix until well blended.
- Cover and simmer for about 20 to 25 minutes, until rice is done.
- Serves 6 to 8.
