Ingredients

  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 1/2 c. onion
  • 1/3 c. green pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp. parsley flakes
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • a little black pepper
  • 1 dish pie crust shell

Method

  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • In medium skillet fry sausage until cooked.
  • Remove sausage from the skillet.
  • Reserve 2 tablespoons of fat and saute onion and green pepper in the fat for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Combine sausage, cheese, flour, green pepper, onion and parsley.
  • Spread in pie crust.
  • Mix milk and eggs and pour over meat in shell.
  • Bake on cookie sheet 35 to 40 minutes or until filling sets.
