Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Hillshire Farm smoked sausage
  • 6 to 8 potatoes
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 Tbsp. bacon grease

Method

  • Peel and dice potatoes.
  • Put bacon grease in a nonstick skillet.
  • When skillet and grease are hot, add potatoes.
  • Fry potatoes with cover on, stirring occasionally.
  • While potatoes are frying, cut the sausage into 1/8-inch slices.
  • Peel and dice the onion.
  • When potatoes are almost done, add the sausage and onion; continue frying until onion has turned clear and the sausage is heated through.
  • Serve hot with cornbread.
