Ingredients

  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. long grain wild rice mix
  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1 c. chopped fresh mushrooms
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
  • 1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. chicken broth
  • 1/4 c. minced celery
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh ground pepper

Method

  • Cook box of rice according to directions and set aside.
  • Cook sausage and drain.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients including the rice.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes in a 2-quart casserole dish. Serves 6 to 8.
