Ingredients

  • 12 oz. smoked sausage, cut diagonally into 1/2-inch slices
  • 1 (16 to 20 oz.) pkg. frozen vegetables (for stew)
  • 3 c. cabbage, chopped coarsely
  • 3 c. hot water
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. flour

Method

  • Combine all ingredients, except meat and flour.
  • Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes.
  • Combine flour with 1/4 cup water; stir about 1/2 to 1 cup cooking liquid into mixture and gradually stir into soup.
  • Bring to a boil and boil 2 minutes. Add sausage and continue cooking 2 minutes.
