Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. cake flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 3/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. drained sauerkraut
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. water

Method

  • Cream butter, sugar, eggs and sauerkraut.
  • Set aside.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, soda and cocoa.
  • To the creamed mixture, add milk, water and dry ingredients.
  • Bake in a sheet pan at 350° for about 25 minutes.
  • Use any caramel or chocolate frosting. Sprinkle coconut over the top.
