Ingredients
- 1/2 c. oleo (soft)
- 1/3 c. sifted powdered sugar
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/4 c. sifted plain flour
- dash of salt
- 2/3 c. chopped pitted dates
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Method
- Cream oleo and sugar.
- Stir in water and vanilla.
- Add flour and salt.
- Mix well.
- Stir in dates and nuts.
- Roll into 1-inch balls.
- Place 2 1/2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 300° for 20 minutes or until cookies are set but not brown. While warm, roll in powdered sugar.
- Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
