Ingredients
- 1 (No. 2 1/2) can sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 3 apples, unpeeled and sliced
- 4 pork chops
- 1/2 c. sugar (optional)
- 1/8 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. water
Method
- Brown chops in shortening in heavy pan.
- Add all other ingredients and cover tightly.
- Cook on slow fire, stirring occasionally until chops are tender.
- Remove cover and let brown. Add more water if needed.
