Ingredients

  • 1 stick soft oleo
  • 1 (3 oz.) cream cheese
  • 1 c. sifted flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp. melted butter
  • pecan pieces

Method

  • Mix stick of oleo, cream cheese and flour well.
  • Form into 24 balls about size of walnut.
  • Press into 24 small tart tins.
  • Fill with the following: chopped pecans pieces (3 to 4 pieces in each section).
  • In separate bowl, mix 2 eggs (beaten), brown sugar, vanilla, pinch of salt and melted butter.
  • Pour over nut pieces to 1/4-inch from top.
  • Place broken nut pieces on top of each tart. Bake 30 minutes at 350°.
  • Cool before removing from pan.
  • These are great to freeze also.
