Ingredients

  • 1 qt. sauerkraut
  • 1 slice bacon, cut into thin pieces
  • 1 medium size onion, sliced lengthwise
  • 1 chicken or beef bouillon, dissolved in 1 c. hot water
  • 3 to 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 (7 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni
  • 1 1/2 lb. stir-fry pork
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 2 tsp. chopped pimento
  • dash of garlic salt
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Cook sauerkraut, bacon and onion until kraut is tender.
  • Cook macaroni according to package directions.
  • Drain well.
  • Cook stir-fry pork in tablespoon of oil.
  • Add parsley flakes, pimento, garlic salt, salt and pepper.
  • Mix cornstarch with cup of chicken broth; cook until thickened.
  • Combine macaroni, sauerkraut mixture and thickened broth.
  • Heat and eat.
