Ingredients

  • 24 fresh oysters on the half shell
  • 2-3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 6 slices prosciutto, each chopped into 4 thin strips

Method

1. Remove the oysters from their shells. Wash the shells in hot water and pat dry. Replace the oysters and put them on a baking tray. Drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the oysters and arrange a coil of prosciutto on top. Season with cracked black pepper.

2. Cook under a hot grill (broiler) for about 1 minute, or until the prosciutto is starting to crisp.
