Ingredients

  • 1 c. soft butter
  • 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/4 c. sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. finely chopped nuts

Method

  • Mix thoroughly the first 3 ingredients.
  • Sift together the flour and salt and stir in.
  • Mix in the chopped nuts.
  • Chill dough.
  • Roll in 1-inch balls.
  • Place on ungreased pan (cookies do not spread).
  • Bake until set, but not brown.
  • While still warm, roll in confectioners sugar.
  • Cool.
  • Roll in sugar again.
  • Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Makes about 4 dozen 1-inch cookies.
